Central slip extensor tendon injuries: a systematic review of treatments

This systematic review describes and compares outcomes of operative and non-operative management of central slip extensor tendon injuries. A PRISMA-compliant methodology identified 3785 studies. Of these, 29 underwent full text review. No randomized controlled trials were identified. Nine studies evaluated treatment modalities specific to cohorts with acute central slip injuries in adults.
