Towards the total synthesis of stambomycin D

Abstract:

Stambomycin D, a 51-membered glycosylated macrolide, was discovered by a genome mining approach, and the predicted planar structure confirmed by NMR spectroscopic analysis. However, the sequence analysis-predicted stereocenters (except C28 and C50) remain to be validated.
