Abstract:

In recent years there has been much progress in the field of cold and ultracold molecular physics and a variety of experimental techniques for producing cold matter now exist. In particular, the generation of trapped molecular ions at mK temperatures has been achieved by sympathetic-cooling with laser-cooled atomic ions.
