Postcolonial terrorist: the example of Nelson Mandela
- Abstract:
- The essay discusses the 1950s-early 1960s militant phase in Mandela's political career, as he moved from a Gandhian passive resistance approach to a commitment to armed struggle. From a postcolonial critical perspective, this phase, labelled 'terroristic' by some of his detractors, rather appears as nuanced and conflicted.
